グライナー研究室では、臨床実践に根ざした研究を基盤とし、多様な研究アプローチを用いて知見を創出するとともに、その成果を広く社会へ還元することを重視しています。
こうした研究活動を通して、老年看護学の発展に寄与し、高齢者とその家族が安心して暮らし続けられる社会の実現に貢献することを目指しています。
また、国内にとどまらず、海外の研究者とのネットワーク構築・拡大にも積極的に取り組み、国際共同研究を通じて、老年看護学の知を国際的に発信することにも力を注いでいます。
本研究室ではこれまで一貫して、高齢者とその家族への支援に関する研究に取り組んできました。地域・コミュニティにおけるケアはもとより、急性期病院における高齢者ケアについても研究を進めています。
現在は、認知症高齢者とその家族がWell-beingを保ちながら住み慣れた地域で生活を継続できることを目指し、AI技術を活用した支援のあり方に着目しています。海外の共同研究者と連携しながら、環太平洋アジア地域を対象とした支援モデルの構築に取り組んでいます。
加えて、慢性疾患を抱えながら生活する高齢者や、フレイル状態にある高齢者への支援に関する研究も進めております。
大学院教育においては、研究者としての基礎的な研究遂行能力や、複雑な現象を論理的・多角的に捉える力の育成を重視しています。特に博士課程後期課程では、国内外の研究者と主体的に協働しながら研究を推進できる研究者、ならびに国際的な研究・教育の場で活躍できる研究者の育成を目標としています。
The Greiner Laboratory is committed to research grounded in clinical practice, employing diverse methodologies to generate new knowledge and disseminate research outcomes to society at large. Through these research activities, we aim to contribute to the advancement of gerontological nursing and the realization of a society in which older adults and their families can continue to live with a sense of security and well-being. In addition to domestic efforts, we actively engage in building and expanding networks with international researchers, and we place strong emphasis on disseminating knowledge in gerontological nursing globally through that international collaborative research.
Our laboratory has consistently focused on research related to supporting older adults and their families. In addition to care provided in community and local settings, we also conduct research on gerontological care in acute care hospitals. Currently, we are particularly interested in support approaches that utilize artificial intelligence technologies, with the goal of enabling older adults with dementia and their families to maintain well-being while continuing to live in familiar communities. In collaboration with international research partners, we are working to develop support models targeting the Asia–Pacific region. Furthermore, we are advancing research on support for older adults living with chronic illnesses, as well as those in a frail condition.
In graduate education, we place importance on fostering fundamental research competencies and the ability to analyze complex phenomena logically and from multiple perspectives. In particular, the doctoral program aims to cultivate researchers who can proactively collaborate with other researchers both in Japan and abroad, and who can play active roles in international research and educational settings.
